Updated Agreement on collaborative activities between the EASC Bureau for standards and STANDARTINFORM was signed in the end of November in the framework of the 52nd session of the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification of the Commonwealth of Independent States (EASC) in Dushanbe.
Director General of STANDARTINFORM Viacheslav Vitushkin signed this document and took part in the EASC events as part of delegation of GOST R which was led by Head of GOST R Alexey Abramov.
Director General of STANDARTINFORM presented a report devoted to taking strategic decisions concerning distribution of the documents on interstate standardization during the session.
646 interstate normative documents have been adopted and 153 documents have been cancelled at the 52nd EASC session. Participants have approved the Procedure of distribution of the documents on interstate standardization on the basis of the votes in the automated information system «EASC». This Procedure will operate before making amendments in fundamental EASC documents. New interstate technical committee «Safety of children’s playgrounds equipment and surfacing» was established during this session. It was also agreed to create a high level-working group for taking strategic decisions on distribution of the documents on interstate standardization. This working group will be chaired by Rosstandart (GOST R).
Second session of the Jury of the contest for the CIS Quality Award 2017 for achievements in the field of quality of goods and services has been held. Results of implementation of the second stage of the competition were summed up. Draft Decision of the CIS Economic Council concerning membership of laureates and prize winners of this competition in 2017 has also been prepared.
More than 20 matters of the agenda have been observed during the 52nd EASC session.
Heads and representatives of national bodies on technical regulation, standardization and accreditation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Russian Federation, Republic of Tajikistan, Republic of Uzbekistan, Ukraine, CIS Executive Council and representatives of the EASC Bureau for standards took part in this session.
It was agreed to hold 53d EASC session in the Republic of Uzbekistan in June 2018 according to the Decision of the 51st EASC session.
