Among the most popular standards in June, consumers were interested in GOST R 55474-2019, Gas distribution systems. Natural gas distribution networks. Part 2. Steel gas pipelines, and GOST 8.579-2019, State system for ensuring the uniformity of measurements. Requirements established for the quantity of prepackaged goods in packages of any kind during their manufacturing, packaging, selling or importing.
GOST R 55474-2019 came into force in early June 2020. It was adopted for the following purposes: ensuring conditions for safe operation of gas distribution networks with pressure not exceeding 1.2 MPa; life and/or health protection of citizens, property of individuals and legal entities, state and municipal property; environmental protection, life and/or health of animals and plants; ensuring energy efficiency; standardization of the basic principles of gas distribution networks construction and general requirements for their design, construction, reconstruction and operation.
The standard requirements apply to gas distribution network gas pipelines made of steel pipes, including technical devices located on gas pipelines (except for filters, regulating, safety and disconnecting valves of gas reduction lines), including means of electrochemical protection against corrosion.
The second document replaces the 2002 standard and enters into force on 1st of July 2020. GOST 8.579-2019 establishes metrological requirements for the quantity of goods, for the batch of prepackaged goods for metrological supervision, and for measuring vessels used as consumer containers for liquid prepackaged goods. The provisions of the voluntary standard are introduced in the interests of consumers so that, for example, the appearance of the package can be used to determine the volume of liquid in bottles. Compared to GOST 2002, the possibility of using strong alcohol in intermediate containers of 250 ml and 375 ml, which are between 200 ml and 350 ml and 350 ml and 500 ml respectively, is excluded. And for manufacturers of natural fruit and berry wine use of volume of 700 ml which is between 375 and 750 ml is also excluded.
The standard contains requirements for specifying the quantity of prepackaged goods. For packaged foodstuffs in a liquid medium, along with the nominal quantity of goods in the labelling, it is necessary to specify the nominal mass of the main product in a non-liquid package.
Demanded GOST R 54316-2020, Drinking natural mineral waters. General specifications, published 1st of July 2020 to replace the 2011 document of the same name. Distributed to mineral natural drinking waters intended for sale to consumers, including those used in sanatorium and spa treatment. And does not apply to mineral natural drinking waters not intended for drinking, drinking natural and treated water, blended, artificially mineralized drinking water and drinking water for baby food.
According to this national standard, mineral waters for their intended use are divided into canteens; curative table waters and therapeutic waters. In terms of mineralization, they are divided into fresh waters; low mineralized waters; medium mineralized waters; and high mineralized waters. The document contains a table illustrating the dependence of mineral water destination on its mineralization.
Mandatory annexes to the document shall indicate the limits of permitted negative deviations; describe the form and size of the mark for prepackaged goods and the values of the nominal quantity of goods for some categories of prepackaged goods with the same nominal quantity.
According to the Department of Distribution of Information Products of "STANDARTINFORM" consumers often turned to the recently adopted standards for grains, concretes, sheets of aluminum and aluminum alloys in June.
