We continue to review the standards that entered into force for the first time and were introduced on 1st of July 2020.
GOST 34603-2019, Spark-ignition engine fuels. Determination of benzene by mid infrared spectroscopy method.
The document presents a fast, simple and inexpensive method for determination of benzene in fuels for spark-ignition engines in the range from 0.1 to 0.5 percent of the volume: the infrared beam of the detector is passed through the fuel sample, the response of which is converted into the concentration of benzene using multi-dimensional mathematical analysis.
Benzene - a toxic compound, the concentration of which is limited by the environmental authorities to produce less toxic gasoline.
GOST R 58672—2019, Safety of toys. Part 8. Age determination guidelines.
The document contains recommendations for determining the youngest age at which children should start to play with certain toys. It is intended for manufacturers and organizations that assess the toys compliance with safety standards.
According to the document, children from birth to 4 months of age are recommended rattles, soft balls and other toys for the cradle and playpen; children from 4 to 8 months of age are recommended teething rings, bath toys in the form of animals; children from 8 months to a year can already look through books with sturdy pages and play with dolls without removable parts and roly-poly toys.
The developer of the above standards is "STANDARTINFORM".
GOST R 58737-2019, Places of rest on the water objects. General provisions.
The document specifies the classification and basic provisions for creation and operation of recreation areas at water bodies.
They are divided into those places where you can't swim and those where you can -beaches, swimming pools and water parks.
Noise levels in recreation areas should not exceed 45 dB during the day, which is equivalent to the volume of quiet conversation or the volume of air conditioning.
The water area boundary is indicated by buoys or floats located 25-30 m away.
The maximum distance to the buoys in the bathing area should not exceed 75 m for adults, 40 m for parents with children and 30 m for children.
