On July 7, 2020, a meeting of the Working Group of the CIS Executive Committee was held to prepare an Action Plan for the first phase (2021-2025) of the CIS Economic Development Strategy for the period until 2030. The events were held in Moscow via videoconference.
The meeting was attended by Nikita Kuprikov, Head of the Department of Standards for Ensuring the Requirements of EAES Technical Regulations and Regional Cooperation of “STANDARTINFORM”, Chairman of the Interstate Technical Committee on Standardization "Conducting research in polar regions" (MTK 555).
The following issues were addressed during the meeting:
- preparation of the proposals on elimination of technical barriers for the period 2021-2025;
- improvement of the multilateral CIS legal framework in the field of technical regulation, standardization, metrology, conformity assessment and accreditation;
- development and implementation of the Program of work on interstate standardization;
- development of cooperation between the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (ICS) of the CIS member states and international and regional organizations in the field of technical regulation, standardization, metrology, conformity assessment and accreditation;
- improvement of the system of training and professional development of specialists in the field of technical regulation, standardization, metrology, conformity assessment and accreditation in the Member States CIS.
