Experience of Russia and IEC", which took place in the framework of the International Technology Forum "Russian Standardization Week".
Chris Agius, Executive Secretary of IEC Ex and IEC EC International Certification Systems, made an opening speech and made a report on the activity of IEC conformity assessment systems. He highlighted the history of IEC conformity assessment systems creation, peculiarities of their functioning, main tasks and perspective development directions.
Report on "Equipment based on renewable energy sources (RES). Prospects for applying the IEC experience in standardization and conformity assessment" by Alexey V. Ivanov, Director of the Department of Standardization and Methodological Support of "STANDARTINFORM" caused a lively discussion. The speaker gave a description of the projects being implemented in Russia in the field of renewable energy, disclosed the main aspects of standardization organization of power equipment in Russia and IEC, and also told about the international experience of IEC on conformity assessment of equipment based on renewable energy sources.
"International certification system of IECRE has successfully completed the stage of active formation, and it is developing with the use of positive experience of other international certification IEC systems. To ensure sustainable growth of generation sector in Russia, it is necessary to activate and strengthen the work on standardization, both at the national level and in the form of participation of Russian experts on standardization in the specialized technical committees of IEC", - said Alexey V. Ivanov.
Proposals for the development of the radio electronic industry in terms of Russia's participation in the IEC conformity assessment systems were considered, and a special accent was made on ensuring the continuous function "standardization - conformity assessment".
