The new version of GOST R 1.1-2020 "Standardization in the Russian Federation. Technical committees for standardization and project technical committees for standardization. Rules of organization and function" will come into force on November 1, 2020.
Among the innovations of GOST R 1.1-2020 are: specification of rights and obligations of standardization technical committees (TC) members, the order of interaction with related TC, the obligation to update the fixed fund of standards. GOST R 1.1-2020 establishes rules for the formation, operation and liquidation of the standardization technical committees and project technical committees for standardization, as well as a model TC provision.
It should be noted that if the area of activity, principles of work and (or) composition of the TC created before November 1, 2020, do not meet the requirements of the new version of GOST R 1.1, and the provisions of the TC - do not meet the standard provisions of the TC, these contradictions should be eliminated within one year. Within the same period, the current TC should be approved by the prospective program of the committee.
The work on revision of the standard was carried out in accordance with the Action Plan ("Roadmap") for the development of standardization in the Russian Federation for the period up to 2027. The work was carried out in order to take into account the positive practice of applying the provisions of the Federal Law of 29 June 2015 № 162-FZ "On standardization in the Russian Federation" and the regulatory legal acts operating in its support.
Application of the new version of GOST R 1.1-2020 will improve the efficiency of the technical committees and project technical committees on standardization.
