"STANDARTINFORM" took part in the 27th joint meeting of the Russian-Finnish working group on standardization and conformity assessment of the Russian-Finnish Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation on November 17, 2020. The meeting was held in the online format.
The session was headed by Alexander V. Dmitriev, Chairman of the Working Group - Deputy Director of the Department of State Policy in the field of technical regulation, standardization and ensuring the uniformity of measurements of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Among the issues were: mutual recognition the results of environmental impact assessment for a product or service taking into account its life cycle, review of the situation with mandatory labeling of certain goods by means of identification in the Russian Federation, review of technical regulation in the field of chemical products safety.
A block of issues related to the development of Russian-Finnish interaction in the field of technical regulation of digital technologies and intelligent systems was considered separately: "Internet of Things, Industrial Internet of Things, Big Data, Digital Twins, Smart Manufacturing, Smart Energy and Smart Cities.
The participants discussed the possibility of concluding an agreement on the distribution and translation of Finnish standards on the territory of the Russian Federation. Also considered the possibility of developing national standards based on the standardization documents of the Finnish Standards Association (SFS) and their direct application in the Russian Federation in case of such a need.
"As part of joint Russian-Finnish projects, there is an acute need for standards. It is important to obtain these documents from legitimate sources and distributed strictly in accordance with existing rules and agreements," explained Yuliya Tufanova, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department of "STANDARTINFORM".
Both Sides signed the protocol at the end of the meeting.
