The International Day of Persons with Disabilities has been celebrated for more than twenty years on December 3. We present a brief overview of national standards introduced for the first time, developed in accordance with the State Program "Accessible Environment" within the technical committee on standardization "Technical means and services for people with disabilities and other people with low mobility" (TC 381) with the direct participation of "STANDARTINFORM", which maintains the secretariat of TC 381.

It is powered and operated independently by the user. Wheelchairs and scooters are subdivided into walker all-season, depending on the resistance to climatic influences; walker for non-winter use; room and room with an extended range of air temperature. According to the document, batteries must provide travel range of wheelchairs and scooters of at least 10 km moving on a level hard surface without recharging. Clearance of wheelchairs and scooters is not less than 25 mm.
