"STANDARTINFORM" as part of Rosstandart delegation took part in the meeting of Heads of National Authorities for Standardization, Metrology and Certification of the States Parties to the Agreement on a Coordinated Policy in the Field of Standardization, Metrology and Certification (58th ICS meeting) on December 22, 2020.
Delegations of national standardization, metrology, conformity assessment and accreditation bodies of the Azerbaijan Republic, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, Republic of Tajikistan, Republic of Uzbekistan, representatives of the CIS Executive Committee and the ICS Bureau for Standards held a discussion on interstate standardization through video-conferencing.
The Russian delegation was headed by Anton P. Shalaev, deputy head of Rosstandart.
"STANDARTINFORM" was represented by: Alexander N. Mikheev, Acting General Director, Alexander A. Barkov, First Deputy General Director, and Yuri V. Budkin, Deputy General Director.
"STANDARTINFORM" took an active part in the preparation of materials for the discussion on the key topics of the 58th ICS meeting:
- development of proposals in the section "Standardization" of the draft Action Plan for the implementation of the ICS Development Strategy until 2030;
- approval of topics for the development of interstate standards in 2021;
- approval of standards adopted by correspondence for the period August - December 2020;
- publication of interstate standards;
- activities of interstate technical committees for standardization (ITC).
During the 58th ICS meeting it was decided to hold an extraordinary meeting of the Scientific and Technical Commission for Standardization of the ICS (STC) in February 2021 to consider the finalized plan of measures to implement the Development Strategy of the ICS until 2030, based on the comments of national standards bodies.
It was decided to adopt a number of changes to the Interstate Standardization Programs 2020 and 2021, based on the results of discussions with the participation of "STANDARTINFORM" at the meeting of the STC in November and at the December special meeting of the STC.
Among the adopted documents should be noted the fundamental GOST 1.4, Interstate system for standardization. Interstate technical committees for standardization. Rules of organization and function, developed to replace GOST 1.4-2015. The adoption of GOST 1.4-2020 and its enactment in the Russian Federation is aimed at improving the organization of the ITC creation and operation and will contribute to the further development of the Interstate Standardization System as a result of the complexity of the rules and requirements.
The participants of the meeting have noted the information about the publication of fourteen interstate standards for November-December 2020 and it was proposed to continue the work on the publication of the adopted documents.
