Fifty national and interstate standards came into force at the beginning of the month. Among them are a series of documents on reference data, information support for technology and operator activities, public roads, electrostatics, and rail transport services.
GOST R 51572-2020, Gold weighted bullions. Specifications, replaced the twenty-year old standard of the same name.
GOST applies to gold bars weighing from 1 to 1000 grams.
According to the document ingots are manufactured in stamped and cast versions.
Each ingot is marked on its front surface with the manufacturer's trademark, name of the manufacturer's country "RUSSIA", nominal weight in grams, metal name "GOLD", mass fraction of gold in samples and ingot number.
The ingots in individual polyethylene bags are placed in rows in wooden or plastic boxes, separating each successive layer with paper or cardboard. Then the boxes are packed in a metal container.
The standard also allows supplying boxes with ingots without a metal container. But in this case, the thickness of the box wall must be at least 5 mm.

The document applies to packaging of dangerous goods with a net weight not exceeding 400 kilograms and a capacity not exceeding 450 liters.
Steel, plywood, fiberboard, plastic, aluminum and other metals are used in the manufacture of containers for dangerous goods.
Dangerous goods are packed in drums, canisters, boxes, bags and composite packaging.
According to GOST, containers should be manufactured and reconditioned in accordance with a quality assurance program approved by the competent authority.
