GOST R 56624-2020, Energy efficiency. Electrically driven submersible bladed pumps and electric motors for oil production. Determination of energy efficiency indicators, was approved by order of Rosstandart. The standard will replace the document of 2015.
The new standard establishes indicators of energy efficiency of downhole electric drive vane pumps and electric motors included in the units of these pumps, as well as methods of their selection, determination and rationing at the stage of design and testing.
GOST R 56624-2020 is aimed at obtaining an objective assessment of energy efficiency of downhole electric motors, which takes into account the active power consumption not only in the electric motor, but also in the cable line, transformer and control station. The target audience of the document is production enterprises, research centers and institutes of oil and gas production industry.

GOST R 56624-2020 was developed within the activities of the Technical Committee on Standardization № 039 "Energy saving, energy efficiency, energy management" (TC 039) in accordance with the import substitution program in the oil and gas industry with the support of the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs of RUSNANO with the participation of "Standardinform", oilfield equipment manufacturers and members of the Expert Council for mechanized oil recovery. GOST shall be put into effect on October 1, 2021.
