Reorganization of the Technical Committee on Standardization "Stationary Power Equipment" (TC 244) was carried out by the Order of Rosstandart № 253 of March 9, 2021.
The reason for the reorganization is the low performance of TC 244 based on the results of three years of work. Rosstandart instructed "STANDARDINFORM", on the basis of which the TC supervisory institute was created, to study the reorganization issue of the technical committee.
"It will allow to intensify the work on standardization in the field of stationary power equipment and ensure their continuity", - commented Aleksey V. Ivanov, director of the Methodological Standardization Support Department of "STANDARDINFORM".
Today "STANDARDINFORM" is entrusted with the secretariat of the TC. A.I. Kleynosov, Chief Engineer of the Boiler Equipment Plant (JSC "ZKO") was appointed as the TC Chairman, and N.V. Verkhovina, Head of the Electrical Engineering and Electric Power Engineering Department of "Standardinform" was appointed as the responsible secretary.
Reasons for reorganization of TC 244 were announced at the kick-off meeting of the committee, which was attended by representatives of "STANDARDINFORM" and Boiler Equipment Plant JSC ("ZKO"), on January 29, 2021.
TC 244 has the right to participate in the work of international technical committees of IEC/TC 4 "Hydraulic turbines", IEC/TC 5 "Steam turbines", ISO/TC 11 "Boilers and pressure vessels", ISO/TC 109 "Oil and gas burners", ISO/TC 192 "Gas turbines".
For reference. Currently TC 244 includes 18 organizations. The scope of the committee is standardization in the field of stationary power equipment, in particular, steam boilers, gas and steam turbines, steam engines and pipeline valves.
