Documents of the Russian national standardization system can be developed taking into account the provisions and on the basis of documents of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) - is one of the world's largest industry organizations for standardization.
The corresponding agreement was signed by Anton Shalaev, head of Rosstandart, Konstantinos Karachalios, IEEE Director General, and Konstantin Leonidov, Acting Director General of "StandarTinform".
The IEEE Standards Association develops standards in electrical engineering, electronics, computer engineering, computing and related technology, and has more than 400,000 experts in 160 countries. The IEEE is the leading developer of globally recognized industry standards that underpin many of today's telecommunications and information technologies, such as 802® for local area networks, including Ethernet, and the Wi-Fi® wireless LAN standard.
"Development of the Federal Information Fund of standards through the inclusion of international, regional, foreign and industry standardization documents allows you to get acquainted with the achievements of scientific and technological progress, promotes the use of best international practices in domestic standards and provides achievement of such a strategic goal as the advance rate of standards development to produce innovative and high-tech products," - said Anton Shalaev.
Recall that in 2020 similar agreements were signed by Rosstandart with regional and industry standardization organizations such as the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC) and the Norwegian Engineering and Classification Society DNV GL.
