On April 19, 2021, the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the law «On ratification of the Agreement on the dissemination of documents on interstate standardization.»
This agreement was developed by «Standardinform» in accordance with the decision of CIS as part of the work carried out by the Council to improve activities in the field of interstate standardization.
The document was considered at a meeting of the CIS Economic Council in March 2018 in Moscow, where it was presented by the deputy head of Rosstandart A. Shalaev and signed on June 1, 2018 at a meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of Government in the city of Dushanbe.
In accordance with Article 9, the Agreement entered into force on December 17, 2018 after the depositary received notifications on the implementation by the Republic of Belarus, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan of the internal state procedures necessary for its entry into force.
Later, the Agreement entered into force for the Republic of Armenia (03/19/2021), the Kyrgyz Republic (08/07/2019), the Republic of Tajikistan (11/10/2020). On March 8, 2020, the Republic of Moldova joined the Agreement.
The ratification of the agreement by the Kazakh side completed the process of entry into force of the Agreement for all seven signatory states.
