Working session of the Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology (GOST R) with the «Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology» (RSE «KazStandard») was held in Nur-Sultan, Republic of Kazakhstan on the 25th of August 2021. This meeting became one of the most important stages of increasing the efficiency of cooperation of national institutes of the Eurasian Economic Union. FSBI «RST» participated as s member of GOT R delegation which was led by Anton Shalaev, Head of GOST R.
Director General of KazStandard Gabit Mukhambetov familiarized Russian Colleagues with main directions of activities of KazStandart and also elaborated on the functioning of the Coordination Center in the field of technical regulation. This Center is operating within the framework of KazStandart. Assistance in formation of a position of a country based on implementation of scientific activities and use of the best practices of application of the instruments of technical regulation will become one of the branches of activities of this Coordination Center.
A matter of enhancement of KazStandart activities in the works on interstate standardization for the purposes of meeting the requirements of technical regulations was discussed during the meeting. It was also highlighted that plan of the development of interstate standards covered 140 issues for the development in the following fields - electrical machines and equipment, pipe and tube production, renewable sources of energy, building industry, transport, coal and light industry.
The results of this session will be used during the development of relevant agenda for the next meeting of national standardization institutes of the Eurasian Economic Union. The main aim of the next meeting will be implementation of the Action plan on implementation of an Agreement on a joint activity on standardization dated by December 9th, 2020. FSBI «RST» is maintaining the coordination of works in terms of implementation of this Agreement in cooperation with national institutes on standardization of the States- Members of the Eurasian Economic Union.
