Russian Standardization Institute (FSBI «RST») took part in an open Round Table «Expert Dialogue with the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) on Technical Regulation» as part of the delegation of the Federal Agency for Technical Regulating and Metrology led by the Head Anton Shalaev.
This event was initiated by the Foreign Trade Chamber of the Russian Federation and Germany. The Round Table was opened by the report of the Director of the Department of Technical Regulation and Accreditation of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Timur Nurashev who represented Russian Federation. Representatives of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy of Germany, Russian and German state and public structures participated in the session of the Round Table.
Deputy Director General of FSBI «RST» Alexey Ivanov performed with the report «Comparative analysis of technical regulation objects, security requirements and schemes of the conformity assessment set in technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union and in the legislation of the European Union in the field of products of machine building» in the framework of the section «Objectives and opportunities of an expert dialogue on technical regulation».
Directions of harmonization of the norms of technical regulation and perspectives of harmonization of normative legal acts aimed at the increase of the volumes of mutual trade between Germany and Russia and at the simplification of the procedures of approval of the conformity for the access to internal markets were covered during the event.
Opportunity of direct application of international and foreign standards through their incorporation in the Federal Information Collection of Standards became one of the most important matters during the discussion. FSBI «RST» is responsible for the maintenance of the Federal Information Collection of Standards.
This expert dialogue also focused on the rules and procedures of mutual acceptance of test results in international systems of conformity assessment of electrical equipment (firstly in the certification systems of the International Electrotechnical Commission).
