Russian Standardization Institute (FSBI «RST») took part in the 60th session of the Eurasian Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (EASC) of the States-CIS Members. This event was held in Yerevan in a semi-digital format on the 8th-9th of December 2021.
Delegations of national bodies on standardization, metrology, conformity assessment and accreditation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, Republic of Tajikistan, Republic of Uzbekistan and representatives of the CIS Executive Committee and the EASC Bureau of Standards took part in the 60th EASC session according to the report of the Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology (GOST R).

FSBI «RST» Alexey Ivanov and representatives of the Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology (GOST R).
More than 20 issues have been covered during the session. Matters devoted to the course of the activities carried out in the States-CIS Members in the field of standardization, metrology, conformity assessment, accreditation and organizational issues were among the discussed points during the expanded 60th EASC session.
Deputy Director General of FSBI «RST» Alexey Ivanov paid special attention that 2021 could be marked as crucially important year for national standardization system. Alexey noted that adopted Amendments to the Law «On Standardization in the Russian Federation» began to find their practical implementation, mechanisms of standards` use as reference documents in regulatory legal acts and in procurement activities had a broader scope.
He also highlighted that active works in terms of forming and updating of the evidence base of technical regulations were conducted.
Inclusion of the matter concerning consideration of the Agreement between the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the Eurasian Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (EASC) into the agenda of the 60th EASC session became a significant event for international standardization.
Draft Action plan for 2022-2025 on the implementation of the Agreement on cooperation between the Electric Power Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Eurasian Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (EASC) was discussed during the meeting.
Session of the Jury of the Competition for the nomination of the CIS Award 2021 for the achievements in the field of quality of goods and services was held in the framework of this session.
