The most popular standard in January 2022 became GOST ISO/IEC 17025- 2019 «General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories» according to the information received from the Department of Distribution of the Documents on Standardization of FSBI «RST». This interstate standard has become relevant since September 2019.
This document sets general requirements for competence, fairness and stable functioning of laboratories regardless of the number of employees.
A body can be considered as a laboratory which fulfills one or several kinds of the below-mentioned activities - testing, calibration, sampling connected with further testing or calibration.
Laboratory activities should be structured and managed in such a way as to ensure impartiality as well as to avoid commercial, financial or other kind of pressure. It is also important to respect confidentiality, responsibility for managing all data received from outside or obtained in the course of performing laboratory activities.
A laboratory has to plan and carry its actions on risk and capability management according to the above-mentioned requirements. It creates foundation for performance improvement of management system achieving better results and prevention of negative consequences.
The main purpose of this document is strengthening of trust to the activities of laboratories.
Series of standards on gas distribution systems have become in great demand among customers in January 2022. These documents are the following:
GOST 34715.0-2021 «Gas distribution systems. Design, construction and liquidation of natural gas distribution networks. Part 0. General requirements»
This document has become effective since December 2021. Its main purposes are the following: to provide conditions for safe operation of gas distribution networks with a pressure of up to 1.2 MPa inclusively; to protect life and/or health of citizens, property of individuals and legal entities, state and municipal property; environmental protection including life and health of animals and plants; to ensure energy efficiency, standardization of basic construction principles of gas distribution networks and general requirements.
GOST 34715.1-2021 «Gas distribution systems. Design, construction and liquidation of natural gas distribution networks. Part 1. Polyethylene gas pipelines» is another highly demanded document that has come into force since December 2021.
This interstate standard focuses on polyethylene pipes of gas distribution networks transporting natural gas with maximum operating pressure up to 1.2 MPa inclusively with a pipe wall temperature varying from minus 20 °C to plus 40 °C.
Polyethylene gas pipelines are designed in a closed or open way depending on laying conditions. It is recommended to lay long pipes or pipes welded in whips.
Now we will elaborate on GOST 34715.2-2021 «Gas distribution systems. Design, construction and liquidation of natural gas distribution networks. Part 2. Steel gas pipelines»
This document sets requirements for steel gas pipelines of gas distribution networks transporting gas with maximum working pressure of up to 1.2 MPa inclusively.
Requirements of this standard are distributed on technical devices that are located on pipelines including tools for electrochemical protection from corrosion.
Selection of pipes, pipeline fittings, connecting parts and other elements is carried out taking into account the following points: gas pressure; nominal diameter of a gas pipeline; estimated wall thickness of a pipe; soil and natural conditions; presence of vibration loads.
