Russian Standardization Institute (FSBI «RST») participated in the session of the Council for Technical Regulation and Standardization for Digital Economy of the RSPP Committee on Industrial Policy and Technical Regulation and Eastern Committee of German Economy.
Deputy Director General of FSBI «RST» Alexey Ivanov informed that cooperation of the RSPP Council and Eastern Committee of German Economy had positive effects. Alexey Ivanov also pointed out that sustainable, tight partnership relations were established which enabled to develop application of mechanisms of standardization and technical regulation effectively.
Deputy Director General of FSBI «RST» noted that current goals were interconnected with digital transformation of industry, implementation, development and further modification of the approaches of Industry 4.0. Alexey Ivanov told that nowadays matters of implementation of Sustainable Development Goals were on the agenda. Standardization and conformity assessment play key role in achieving these goals.
He also highlighted the importance of active participation in international organizations on standardization such as ISO and IEC, international systems of conformity assessment, permanent exchange of expert opinions, and cooperation with business sector at the global level.
Markus Riegel, Director on Technical Regulation and Standardization in Siemens AG, Jens Bellmann, Head of the Small and Medium-sized Business Bureau of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy, Andrey Lotsmanov Deputy Co-Chairman of the RSPP Committee on Industrial Policy and Technical Regulation acknowledged significant progress in the activities of the RSPP Council achieved during recent years. The above-mentioned persons also noted great perspectives for further cooperation.
Andrey Lotsmanov proposed to make organization and carrying out of workshops for representatives of German companies with participation of Russian authorities as one of the main directions of the activities of the RSPP Council in 2022 in order to explain the peculiarities of Russian and EAEU legislation to German companies.
He also told that last year it was agreed to develop the EAEU Technical Regulation «On security of construction materials and products». Experience on the application of Technical Regulation of the European Union № 305 will be taken as a basis for the development of the EAEU Technical Regulation «On security of construction materials and products».
Main events of the RSPP Council for 2022 were announced, results of the activities of expert groups of the RSPP Council in 2021 were summed up and plans of their further activities were shaped during the course of the meeting.
