Russian Standardization Institute (FSBI «RST») carried out the session of the working group of national standardization institutes of the States - Members of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) on implementation of an Action Plan and Agreement on cooperation of national institutes from December 9, 2020.
This event was held following the decisions of the 8th session of the Council of the Heads of State (National) Standardization Bodies of the States-EAEU Members from December 13, 2021. Current session was conducted in the framework of implementation of the goals stated in the Agreement on joint cooperation.
The following organizations took part in the session on March 3, 2022:
- National body for standards and metrology of the Republic of Armenia;
- Belarusian State Institute for Standardization and Certification of the Republic of Belarus (BelGISS);
- Center for Standardization and Metrology under the Ministry of Economic Regulation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
FSBI «RST» was presented by the following employees - Deputy Director General Alexey Ivanov, Adviser Director General Yury Budkin, Adviser Director General Yury Butyrev and Senior Specialist Marina Kuranova.
Alexey Ivanov pointed out that implementation of an Action plan and an Agreement on joint cooperation of national institutes from December 9, 2020 was in the scope of attention of the Heads of state (national) bodies on standardization of the States-EAEU Members and Department of Technical Regulation and Accreditation of the Eurasian Economic Commission. Alexey also highlighted that matters that were covered during current session of the working group contributed to the development of a common coordinated position by the Institutes in the field of effective application of the tools of technical regulation and standardization in the EAEU.
Main decisions taken during the session of the working group of national standardization institutes of the States - EAEU Members were the following:
- Assistance during the development of the Draft Amendment №1 to the Recommendations on Interstate Standardization 147-2021 «Record keeping of distribution of the documents on interstate standardization» in part of addition of the mechanism of forming the bibliographic database of Russian translations of international (regional) standards;
- Determination of the suggestions on the development of interstate standards for the purposes of eliminating the disagreements and their further adding into the Program of Interstate Standardization for 2022-2023.
