Agreement on cooperation has been signed by the Director General of the Russian Standardization Institute (FSBI «RST») Konstantin Leonidov and Director of the Association of Welders of Polymeric Materials (Non-Commercial Organization «Association of Welders of Polymeric Materials») Elena Zaytseva on March 23, 2022.
Main priorities of the signed Agreement lie in the creation of the system of partnership relations, assistance in the development and implementation of standardization programs in the field of technologies of bonding of polymeric materials, increase of the activities on the specified directions and development of cooperation in the field of technical regulation.
Director General of the Russian Standardization Institute highlighted that system of technical regulation and standardization was an important element of state scientific, technical and innovational policy and it acted as one of the key tools of transfer of technologies in industrial sector. Konstantin Leonidov noted that modern development of system of technical regulation and standardization was based on the cooperation of FSBI «RST» with an industrial sector of the economy. He pointed out that implementation of the signed Agreement on cooperation was aimed at solving actual challenges of innovation development and global competitiveness of the Russian Federation.
Current Agreement contains four main directions of cooperation:
· Scientific activities directed at carrying out a stress-test of industrial enterprises manufacturing polymer pipelines, goods from polymeric materials and identification of perspective directions of standardization of technologies of bonding of polymeric materials, test methods ( researches) of the goods;
· Cooperation in the field of standardization including organization of joint development of standards for the provision of current activities and outrunning development of oil and gas, construction, utilities and agricultural-industrial sectors of the economy of the Russian Federation using polymer pipelines and other construction made from polymeric materials;
· Activities in the field of technical regulation oriented at reduction of the proportions of low-quality goods from polymeric materials;
Educational activities aimed at training of experts on standardization, industrial enterprises belonging to the Non-Commercial Organization «Association of Welders of Polymeric Materials».
