Тashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan, July 14, 2022 – 61st session of the Euro-Asian Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (EASC) of the States-CIS Members was held in a hybrid format. This event gathered more than 150 participants.
Representatives of national bodies on standardization, metrology, conformity assessment and accreditation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Russian Federation, Republic of Tajikistan, Republic of Uzbekistan and representatives of the CIS Executive Committee and the EASC Bureau of Standards participated in the session. International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML), International Organization for Standardization (ISO), Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and Pan American Standards Commission (COPANT) took part in this session as observers.
GOST R delegation was headed by the CEO of GOST R Anton Shalaev. Representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation (Minpromtorg), Central Office of the Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology (GOST R), Federal Budgetary Institution “Consulting and Implementation Firm in the field of International Standardization and Certification” (Interstandart), Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) joined the GOST R delegation.
The below-mentioned topics have been discussed during the 61st EASC session:
- exchange of experience between the States-CIS Members concerning the activities in the field of technical regulation, standardization and metrology that were organized on national level;
- adoption, withdrawal and restoring the validity of interstate standards;
- creation of new technical committees on standardization;
- actualization of the register of intestate standard samples.
Conclusion of the Agreement with the business community of the States-CIS Members-Committee for Industrial Policy and Technical Regulation of the RSPP, Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Armenia, Belarusian Republican Association of Industrial Enterprises “BelAPP” became a very important stage in the EASC development.
Diplomates and laureates of the CIS Award in the field of quality of goods and services were rewarded in the framework of the 61st EASC session.
Next EASC session is planned to be organized in December 2022.
