Advisor to the Director General of the Russian Standardization Institute Yury Budkin visited the Research and Production Republican Unitary Enterprise “Belarusian State Institute for Standardization and Certification” (BelGISS) on September 15-16, 2022.
During the session of the Round Table Yury Budkin performed with the presentation devoted to the researches of international legislation and enforcement practice on implementation of the circular economy models in the field of technical regulation and standardization including as it related to determination of relevant requirements to the goods and utilization processes connected with these goods.
Advisor to the Director General of the Russian Standardization Institute pointed out that scientific and research activities that were carried out for the benefit of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) enabled to reveal important use patterns of the mechanisms of technical regulation during the implementation of circular economy.
Yury Budkin also highlighted that it was established that the most justified strategy for implementing circular economy models was fitting of mature circular economy models in the linear economy. For instance, many aspects of eco-design can be implemented in technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) on machine-building products while recirculation models can be introduced in the EAEU technical regulation “On the safety of packaging”.
