Representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Republic of Armenia, People's Republic of China, Republic of India, executive authorities of the Russian Federation, scientific and expert communities, specialists of the Russian IT companies, higher educational institutions and series of organizations subordinated to the Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology (GOST R) took part in the International Conference “IT Standard - 2023”. This Conference was held on the base of the Russian Technological University (MIREA) in a hybrid format.
The main aim of the Conference was consideration of the ways increasing the effectiveness of planning, development and use of standards in the field of information technologies in current environment. Program of the Conference included complex of relevant issues for IT industry particularly concerning technological advancement of scientific substantiation of annual and medium-term programs on IT standardization, improvement of quality of the development of standards and assessment of efficiency of their use.
Head of the GOST R Department of Standardization Irina Kireeva performed with the report “Improvement of standardization activities in the field of information technologies”. In her report she noted that standardization being a tool for practical implementation of digital solutions should facilitate removal of the barriers of use of digital models and virtual testing, the newest technologies and materials that would enable to increase reliability and quality of the goods. Irina also highlighted that nowadays IT standards were widely used almost in all industries. Head of the GOST R Department of Standardization also noted that the scope of their use was extended and national standardization system of the Russian Federation continued to support the digitalization.
Director General of the Russian Standardization Institute Denis Mironov performed with the report devoted to the peculiarities of transition of national standardization system to the use of standards in digital formats. Denis Mironov pointed out that the Russian Standardization Institute was successively working on creation of digital ecosystem of standardization. Director General of the Russian Standardization Institute highlighted that nowadays digital transformation was vital to the manufacturing and the role of standards in the above-mentioned could not be overestimated.
Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Information Technologies of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China Zhang Hongtao and Head of the Department of Information Technologies of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Reena Garg presented their reports during the plenary session.
