The International Exhibition Center “Crocus Expo” hosted the Day of Mining Industry – 3rd International Conference “FUTURE OF MINING”– CTT Mining on May 24, 2023.
This event was held with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Supreme Mining Council of the Russian Federation in the framework of the 23rd International Exhibition CTT Expo.
Main topics of discussion were the following:
- Import substitution in mining industry;
- Normative regulation and transformation of mining industry during the period of market developments;
- Digital management of mining systems;
- Matters of technological sovereignty in the field of crude minerals processing.
Director of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Digital Technologies of the Russian Standardization Institute Gennady Vorobyev told about use of standards for the purpose of sustainable development, reduction of import dependency and technological development of mining industry during the panel discussion “Normative regulation and transformation of mining industry during the period of market developments”. Moderator of this event was the Chairman of Technical Committee on Standardization “Mining” (TC 269) Yury Malakhov.
Matters of the role of normative regulation in ensuring the perspective tasks of the development of mining (coal) industry and production of high-performance critically import dependent types of mining equipment were covered during the discussion.
Representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Russian Standardization Institute, leading experts of the Research Institute of Comprehensive Exploitation of Mineral Resources, T. F. Gorbachev Kuzbass State Technical University (KuzSTU), JSC “CC “Kuzbassrazrezugol”, LLC “Information Mining Technologies” (“INGORTECH”) and LLC “ERT Group” took part in the discussions.
Director of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Digital Technologies of the Russian Standardization Institute Gennady Vorobyev highlighted that standards were one of the tools for the transfer of innovation and technological breakthrough. He also noted that standards accompanied and supported the development of key industries, release of new types of the Russian goods laying down not only current requirements but also knowledge base together with the best practices. Gennady Vorobyev told that this approach provided the enterprises with the opportunity to organize the production of new products including high-tech ones in a quick manner.
