Session on matters of implementation of the Project “Digital technical regulation within the Eurasian Economic Union” was held in BelGISS on August 24, 2023.
Experts of the consortium coordinator - the International Trade and Integration (ITI) Research Centre and its participants - Russian Standardization Institute and BelGISS discussed series of relevant issues which had to be solved during the next stage of forming the platform of technical regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union.
Deputy Director General on digital transformation of the Russian Standardization Institute Dmitry Kasichin told that joint development of algorithms and mechanisms of digitalization processes of mandatory requirements to products, development of technical regulations and lists of standards to them would efficiently accelerate the implementation of the Project "Digital technical regulation within the Eurasian Economic Union". Dmitry Kasichin also mentioned that the boundaries of the pilot contour of the project were defined, the stages of the activities on the development of the target marking scheme of technical regulations and lists of standards were preliminarily agreed during current session.
Information resources formed by BelGISS that could be used during the implementation of the Project were also covered during this session. Belarusian specialists shared their practical experience in the field of conformity assessment that enabled to clarify the architecture of the automated process of providing data on mandatory requirements to products and forms of conformity assessment.
Director of BelGISS Alexander Skuratov pointed out that it was planned to define structure of digital technical regulations and link it with relevant lists of standards in the framework of the Project "Digital technical regulation within the Eurasian Economic Union". Alexander Skuratov highlighted that technical regulations of the Customs Union on safety of low-voltage equipment, toys, meat and meat products would become pilot ones. Director of BelGISS said that selection of these documents arouse from their typical structure.

The main objective of this digital project is provision of a complete set of established requirements for technical regulation objects in human- and machine-readable format as well as the Commission acts ensuring the implementation of technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union to the interested parties.
