Director General of the Russian Standardization Institute Denis Mironov and Director General of INTI Nikolay Kuznetsov put their signatures on this Agreement.
This signed Agreement approves the mechanism on cooperation and mutual support of the Parties in the field of standardization and conformity assessment in oil and gas complex.
The main aim is optimization of the activities in the field of national, interstate and international standardization taking into consideration modern and perspective tendencies of technological development of oil and gas, petrochemical industries.
The Agreement also provides for joint activities on consolidation of efforts in the field of voluntary conduction of conformity assessment aimed at reducing the share of counterfeit and faulty products on the Russian market.
Director General of the Russian Standardization Institute Denis Mironov noted that this Agreement would significantly expand the cooperation and joint works in various areas of activities in the field of standardization of oil and gas industry including cooperation in order to form a turnover of high-quality and safe products on the national market, remove technical barriers and overcome the obstacles during implementation of international projects in fuel and energy complex.
Director General of INTI Nikolay Kuznetsov highlighted that joint work would enable to combine resources and competencies for the development of standardization as well as accelerate processes of approval and adoption of the best Russian industrial practices set out in the INTI standards at the national level.
Nikolay Kuznetsov also mentioned that the priority areas for cooperation were development of a normative base (standards) in the field of liquefied natural gas and import-dependent products that were previously purchased according to foreign standards.
