The Eurasian Business Forum “Integration” became a discussion platform for addressing relevant problems and perspectives of industrial and economic partnership and development of cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The Eurasian Business Forum “Integration” was held in Moscow.
Representatives of federal and regional authorities, relevant structures, business community together with the Members of the Eurasian Economic Commission discussed cooperation issues between the EAEU Member States. Among the main topics are practical results and new horizons of integration, technological sovereignty of the EAEU, forming the unified system of technical regulation, development of energy and sustainable functioning of the transport complex, identification of perspective areas of the Eurasian development. The delegation of GOST R headed by its CEO Anton Shalaev took part in the activities of the Forum.
The key event within the framework of the Forum was the plenary session "The Great Eurasian Partnership. Strategy of the Advanced Development" moderated by the Member of the Board (Minister) in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission Sergei Glazyev.
Member of the Board (Minister) in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission Arzybek Kozhoshev, Member of the Board (Minister) in charge of Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission Viktor Nazarenko, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Volvach and others participated in the discussion during the plenary session.
Anton Shalaev in his report told about standardization as a driver of economic integration in the EAEU during the plenary session. He drew attention that profound experience of standards’ use had already been accumulated for the purposes of ensuring the safety and quality of products in the Eurasian space. He also highlighted that first of all this applied to the functioning of technical regulation system, in which standardization acted as a foundation of product requirements management - provision of free movement in a single economic space.
Industry sections of the Forum were devoted to digital transformation, energy potential of the Eurasian Economic Union, development of infrastructure of the Eurasian transport corridors, potential of the construction industry and access to international markets.
Director General of the Russian Standardization Institute Denis Mironov told about approaches to digital transformation of standardization in the Russian Federation during the session "Digital Technical Regulation in the Service of Integration in the EAEU".
