Representatives of the Office Congolais de Contrôle (Democratic Republic of Congo) had a working visit to the Russian Standardization Institute. Matters of cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Democratic Republic of Congo were covered during the session.
Office Congolais de Contrôle celebrates its fiftieth anniversary in 2024. This organization is a governmental body that performs the functions in the field of standardization, metrology, certification, testing including construction, technical and ecological control. About 30 testing laboratories in all regions of the Democratic Republic of Congo and about 6000 employees are administered by the Office Congolais de Contrôle.
Director General of the Russian Standardization Institute Denis Mironov highlighted that Russian Standardization Institute was ready to share the best practices and to show various approaches to the implementation
of standardization policy.
Deputy Director General of the Russian Standardization Institute Alexey Ivanov familiarized the guests with the Federal Information Collection of Standards. Presentation of the Federal State Information System “BERESTA” (FSIS “BERESTA”) attracted interest among the Delegation of the Office Congolais de Contrôle. FSIS “BERESTA” is aimed at automating the main processes of the National Standardization System participants. The maximum use of all system options allows the interested parties not only to increase the efficiency of works in the specialized areas, but also to ensure active participation in related areas. Delegation of the Office Congolais de Contrôle visited the working place of the Administrator of FSIS “BERESTA” and got acquainted with its functionality.
