CEO of GOST R Anton Shalaev carried out the meeting with the Delegation
of the Uzbek Agency for Technical Regulation headed by its Director Akmal Zhumanazarov. Heads of the Uzbek National Institute of Metrology, the State Institution Institute of Standards of Uzbekistan and the Uzbekistan Scientific Testing and Quality Control Center also represented the Delegation
of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The participants had a detailed discussion concerning current cooperation
of Technical Committees on Standardization of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan. Cooperation perspectives of two countries in the IEC Conformity Assessment International Systems have been confirmed during the meeting.
Director General of the Russian Standardization Institute Denis Mironov told about the results of the development, application and adaptation of the Federal State Information System “BERESTA“ and shared the experience in carrying out the Competition for the All-Russian Public Award “Standardizer of the Year”. This event is being held for the sixth time in order to recognize the merits of highly qualified standardization specialists to society and the state.
Excursion to the Federal Information Collection of Standards was organized for the Delegation of Uzbekistan. The All-Union Standard “Wheat. Selected varieties of grain. Nomenclature” dated 1926 attracted interest of the Uzbek Delegation.
The copy of this document was presented as a gift to the Museum of the Uzbek Agency for Technical Regulation.
