Saint Petersburg, October, 9-11 2024 – International Technological Forum «Russian Standards Week» will be held in the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library and it is dedicated to the World Standards Day. Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology (GOST R) will act as an organizer of this event. Heads and representatives of federal authorities, deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, international and foreign organizations on standardization, major research and educational centers, Russian industrial enterprises will participate in the Forum.
More than 30 events are planned in the framework of business program of the Forum. Main Plenary session “Standardization for achieving national development goals of the Russian Federation” will become a key event of the Forum.
The participants will discuss current issues of standardization in the areas of achieving technological leadership, digitalization, sustainable development and “green” economy as part of the implementation of the Strategy for Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation, approved by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in February 2024.
Discussions will take place on various topics such as digital transformation of national standardization system – main decisions and directions of development, “green” standards – standardization role in ecological agenda, standardization role in decarbonation matters, family and childhood – how standards contribute to the achievement of national development goals in the framework of open sessions.
In addition, the Forum will host a ceremonial award ceremony for the winners of the All-Russian public award “Standardizer of the Year”.
It also should be mentioned that starting in 2019 the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library in Saint Petersburg annually becomes a platform for discussing trends in the development of international, regional and national standardization, current areas of standardization development, new challenges and practices in technical regulation, tools and opportunities in the field of standardization.
