Russian Standardization Institute carried out a meeting with the delegation from the Republic of Belorussia aimed at strengthening international cooperation in the field of standardization.
Visit of the delegation of the Republican Unitary Enterprise "Slutsk Center for Standardization, Metrology and Certification" (RUE "Slutsk CSMS") headed by Irina Yakuta to the Russian Standardization Institute was devoted to conformity assessment issues in forest certification. Belorussian colleagues were familiarized with the activities of the Russian Standardization Institute.
During the meeting, Director General of the Russian Standardization Institute Denis Mironov highlighted the importance of international cooperation for the purposes of improving the competitiveness of goods and ensuring their safety on both Russian and Belorussian markets. Denis Mironov also noted that experience of RUE "Slutsk CSMS" in the field of metrology and certification has arisen significant interest among the Russian colleagues.
Director of RUE "Slutsk CSMS" Irina Yakuta expressed interest in deepening the relations with the Russian Standardization Institute. She noted that exchange of information and experience would enable to address challenges facing national standardization systems of Russia and Belarus more effectively.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to harmonization of technical regulations, development of quality management systems and exchange of the best practices in the field of standardization. Special attention was paid to the implementation of modern technologies and processes digitalization in the field of technical regulation.
