STANDARTINFORM took part in the conference on the 18th of February 2016 "Standardization, accreditation and conformity assessment: New legislation and law-enforcement practice", organized by the Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology (Rosstandart), the Committee of Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) on technical regulation, standardization and an conformity assessment, Power Machines Company with the support of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), the Government of St. Petersburg, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russian Federation (Minpromtorg) and the Federal Budgetary Institution State Regional Center for Standardization, Metrology and Testing in St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region (State Centre "Test – St. Petersburg)".
More than 400 representatives of Ministries and Departments, major Russian companies and expert communities have met in St. Petersburg to discuss current issues in the field of standardization, accreditation and conformity assessment of products related to a Federal Law №162 "On standardization in the Russian Federation" which came into force of on June 29, 2015.
The head of Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology (Rosstandart) A.V. Abramov in his speech pointed out that that the law initiated the foundation for a new stage in the development of national standardization and created all conditions for more active involvement of Russian industry in this activity.
The presentation of Director General of Russian Scientific and Technical Centre for Information on Standardization, Metrology and Conformity Assessment (FGUP "STANDARTINFORM"), V.A. Vitushkin was dedicated to the issues of information support of Russian standardization, including the distribution of documents on standardization.
There is a united procedure of standards distribution in the international, regional and foreign systems of standardization which enables to provide validity of the circulated documents, analyze their relevance and cover the expenses connected with standardization process.
The head of FGUP "STANDARTINFORM" noted that the rules which would have been implemented since July 2016 laid the foundation for the reform of a national system of information support according to the best world practices.
