Amendments in separate legal acts on standardization were made

The President signed the Federal Law «On amendments in separate legal acts of the Russian Federation on standardization» on April 6, 2016 at 9-00 a.m.

The Federal Law was adopted by the State Duma on March 25, 2016 and approved by the Council of the Federation on March 30, 2016.

Certificate of state and legal administration

The Federal Law aims to harmonize legal acts of the Russian Federation with the Federal Law «On standardization in the Russian Federation».

For this purpose amendments are made to the Federal Laws «On fire safety», «On road safety», «On land - reclamation», «On industrial and consumer waste», «On environment protection», « On hydro meteorological service», «On production sharing agreements», «On railway transport of the Russian Federation», «On communication» and also the Law «On mineral resources» and other legal acts of the Russian Federation.

Spheres of regulation and separate provisions of the Federal Laws «On technical regulation» and «On standardization in the Russian Federation» are specified by the Federal Law. In particular articles establishing types of documents in the field of standardization, authorities of national body on standardization, technical committees on standardization, rules of development of national standards, draft national standards and standards of the organizations will be excluded from the Chapter 3 of the Federal Laws «On technical regulation» as nowadays these matters are regulated by the Federal Law «On standardization in the Russian Federation».

Moreover amendments are made to the Federal Laws «On contract system in the field of procurement of goods, services for covering state and municipal needs» and «On procurement of goods, works and services by separate legal entities». They ensure the use of the legislation on standardization in description of the subject matter of the procurement.
