There are national standards oriented towards the improving the consumer literacy among them such as:
GOST R 56877-2016 «Guidance on the provision of legal assistance to consumers. General requirements» which was developed by the Consumers Union of the Russian Federation and would be implemented for the first time in the Russian Federation since February 1, 2017. Established order of the provision of legal advice includes the list of forms of such assistance, procedure of considering and registration of the consumer applications, online consultations, prearrangement for the case, proper paperwork while appealing to the courts and assessment of its prospects. GOST R 56876.1-2016 «Manual on good business practices between retail chains and consumer product suppliers» sets terms and definitions such as consumer products, categories and quality of the goods, etc.
GOST R 33463.7-2015 «Life support systems for railway rolling stock. Part 7. Test methods for determination of ergonomic parameters» will come into force since October 1, 2016 and it is aimed at providing comfortable conditions for passenger transportation in railway transport.
