Director General of FGUP «Standartinform» Viacheslav Vitushkin took part in the working meeting with the Heads of British Standards Institution (BSI) as part of a delegation of Rosstandart on July 25, 2016.
This meeting where the matters of bilateral cooperation were examined was held in London, BSI headquarter.
Director of BSI Scott Steedman familiarized Russian colleagues with the structure of British standardization system and principles of its functioning, while Head of External Policy Amanda Richardson told about the cooperation of BSI with international organizations on standardization such as ISO and IEC. Head of the project «Advanced Technologies and Innovations» Alberto Garcia-Mogollon highlighted the development of standardization in the field of innovations.
Exchange of experience in the field of participation of technical committees on standardization in the development of international and European standards took place, also impact of standardization on the development of national industry in England were discussed. Matters of implementation of international standards at the national level and use of «British quality mark» were also covered.
Russian delegation which was led by the Head of Rosstandart A.V.Abramov included Deputy Head of Rosstandart A.P.Shalaev, Head of Russian System of Quality M.A.Protasov, representatives of Russian industry, technical committees on standardization, JSC «Russian Research Institute for Certification», CJSC «Rostest».
Head of International Projects V.Yakubov and Regional Manager in the Russian Federation D.Yartsev were members of delegation of BSI.
