Vladimir Chernyak comes into office as the Director of Bureau on Standards- Secretary General of the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification of the Commonwealth of Independence States on August 5, 2016.
Vladimir Chernyak was appointed at the 49th EASC session this year which was held in Baku. He replaced Nikolay Sonets who had been working in this post since 2000. Nikolay was cited for his years of conscientious work by the Decision of the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification of the Commonwealth of Independence States.
Before the appointment Vladimir Chernyak was the Deputy Director of the EASC Bureau on Standards and he also took part in the organization, preparation and holding of the EASC sessions and its working bodies, the conferences, the workshops and he also collaborated with international (regional) and national organizations in the field of standardization.
