Flag Day is celebrated in Russia every year on August 22, 2016.
Federal Information Fund of Standards contains national standard on state flag which has been relevant since 1999.
GOST R 51130- 98 «The State flag of the Russian Federation. General specifications» contains requirements for manufacturing of a state flag.
According to standard there should not be holes, perforations, unclean or colored threads, spots more than half a centimeter, color variations and blending of the colors.
It is prohibited to have spots on the representational flag.
Technical specification should reflect information on the terms of use of the flags
(indoors or outdoors) and recommend climate zones depending on the tissue of the flag.
One of the angle of the flag should have goods label with indication of the name of the manufacturer, product description, its size, name of relevant standard and raw material components.
Sizes, color of stripes, correlation of length and breadth of the flag and colorful stripes are set by the Provision on the state flag of the Russian Federation.
Warranty storage life of a flag is five years from the moment of its production.
National standard is developed by the Research Test Centre of Textile Materials.
