Another plenary meeting of IEC Technical Committee on Standardization «Terminology» (TC 1) took place since October 12-13, 2016. Representatives of International Cooperation Department of FGUP «Standartinform» TC 1 Secretary Elena Lozovatskaya and TC 1Secretary`s Assistant Marina Lapina.
Maintenance of TC 1 has been imposed on Standartinform since 2013.
TC 1 is dealing with the development of terms and definitions in electrotechnical field and with the establishment of their equivalence in the use in various languages. TC 1 is forming an international electrotechnical vocabulary «Electyropedia» on this base. «Electropedia» is an online database.
Matters and perspectives of development of standards, cooperation with other technical committees of IEC were examined at the previous session.
Next session of international committee on standardization «Terminology» will be held in autumn 2017 in Vladivostok in the framework of the 81th IEC General Assembly.
