Recently issued standards on occupational safety deal with additional respiratory protective equipment, protective clothing, electrical insulating gloves from polymer materials and also personal protective equipment against falls from a height.
GOST R ISO 13688-2016 «Occupational safety standards system. Protective working clothing. General technical requirements» contains the requirements for usability, safety, size designation, ageing, interoperability, marking of protective working clothes.
Protective working clothes should not have negative effect on the health or hygiene of a user: materials do not have to emit toxic, oncogenic, mutagenic and allergenic substances affect human reproductive function.
Such clothes do not have solid, scrabble or rough surfaces causing irritation of skin. These clothes are not tight, loose or heavy and they do not violate blood circulation and do not restrict movements of a user.
GOST 12.4.308-2016 «Occupational safety standards system. Personal eye-protection. Laser eye-protectors. General technical requirements and test methods» describes requirements for the quality of material; resistance of eye-protectors to the ultra-violet radiation, high temperatures, inflammation; information provided by the manufacturer.
Bubbles, scratches, turbidity, spots are prohibited on these eye - protectors. Instruction should contain the following information: recommendations on the increase in the illumination of the working place while the transmittance of lens filters is less than 20 %, indication that these glasses are dedicated for protection against laser radiation, ways of cleaning of these eye-protectors and lens filters and warning that damaged eye-protectors can be replaced for new ones.
