STANDARTINFORM as part of GOST R delegation took part in the 6th session of the Russian-Czech working group on cooperation in the field of standardization, metrology and conformity assessment of the Intergovernmental Commission on economic, scientific and economic cooperation between Russian Federation and Czech Republic which was held on July 11, 2017.
This event was held in Ekaterinburg in the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Ural Research Metrology Institute" (FSUE "UNIIM").
Russian delegation was headed by the Deputy Head of the Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology Boris Potemkin while Czech delegation was represented by the First Deputy President of the Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing (ÚNMZ) Miroslav Chloupek.
State of information support in the field of standardization was one of the discussed topics. In the framework of this point in the agenda Head of International Cooperation Department of STANDARTINFORM Julia Tufanova told about the Federal Information Collection of standards and about distribution of the documents from this Collection. She paid special attention to the cooperation of STANDARTINFORM with international and foreign organizations on standardization including EU countries.
Russian Federation requested Czech Republic to expedite the consideration of an updated draft Agreement on providing national standards and other normative documents for duplicating and sale in print and in electronic version PDF. This Agreement was sent to the Czech Republic during the intersessional period. Czech Republic for its part informed Russian Federation about CEN- CENELEC position concerning this draft Agreement. Both Parties agreed to continue their work on consideration of this issue.
During the session Parties shared their reports concerning changes in their national standardization systems for the period after holding of the latest session of working group. They also discussed issues of conduction of bilateral comparative tests of national measurement standards of unit of liquid consumption, holding of educational workshops on standardization, conformity assessment, testing, metrology, government control and supervision.
It was agreed to conduct further collaboration in the framework of the Integrated work plan on implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of standardization and metrology between GOST R (Russian Federation) and Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing (Czech Republic) during 2017-2020.
At the end of this meeting protocol in Russian and English languages was signed.
7th session of working group is planned for the first half of 2018 in the Czech Republic. Concrete date and place will be clarified in due course.
