Department of Printing of STANDARTINFORM published 116 interstate and national documents on standardization and 16 codes of practice during July 2017.
Among published standards there are GOSTs on identification cards, medical devices, vehicles, radiopharmaceuticals, incandescent lamps, freight cars, nickel alloys, clinical and economic testing, equipment for diving, textiles and roasted coffee.
Series of standards were developed by the All-Russian Research Institute for Standardization and Certification in mechanical engineering. They are devoted to the norms of visibility during travelling by car.
GOST 33992-2016 contains requirements for windscreen defrosting and demisting systems and test methods. Each vehicle should be equipped with such defrosting and demisting systems and systems for removing moisture from the inner surface of the car window. This system guarantees adequate visibility in cold weather and during high humidity of air.
According to GOST 33993-2016 wiper drive has to provide not less than 2 operating frequencies of the movement – first operating frequency should be not less than 10 and not more than 55 treatment cycles per minute while the second operating frequency- not less than 45 treatment cycles.
There are also some original standards especially GOST R ISO 11398-2017 devoted to ostrich skins. This document was prepared by the All-Russian Research Institute for Certification
(VNIIS).
This standard describes defects of raw ostrich skins and gives recommendations on sorting. Defects can be due to parasites, various illnesses such as botulism, anthrax, and candida. Sizes of defects equal to 44 mm can be treated as typical. For grade estimation main area is divided into 4 segments: Class 1- there are no defects on all these four segments, Class 2- not less than 2 segments without defects, Class 3 - one segment has to be without defects.
