This week Head of Sales and Business Development of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) Guilaine Fournet held a workshop for the employees of STANDARTINFORM.
Guilaine told about main IEC activities, procedures of adoption of international standards at the international level, copyright protection and about making translations in the framework of this event. In her report she also highlighted that main distributors of IEC international standards in certain areas were relevant national bodies on standardization.
Guilaine Fournet also performed statistics of sales of IEC standards on quarters and list of IEC bestsellers.
Second part of the workshop took the form of a dialogue. Series of different topics were discussed such as purchase of one-site and multi-user network licenses, terms of purchase of IEC standards in compilations, provision of updating of IEC standards, copying of IEC documents for internal use by clients.
Guilaine Fournet also noted that number of printed copies had to comply with number of users stated in the network license.
Head of the International Cooperation Department Julia Tufanova summed up this event saying that this meeting allowed to exchange information on bilateral cooperation as well as to discuss matters of international standardization in general.
