World Quality Day has been celebrated every year on the second Thursday of November. European Organization of Quality (EOQ) took the initiative to celebrate this holiday with the support of the United Nations.
Since the middle of the 90th second Thursday of November has been declared as European Quality Week.
World Quality Day is celebrated on November 9, 2017. European Quality Week takes place since 6 till 12th of November under the motto – «Quality Transforms! ».
Successful solution of problems contributes to improving the competitiveness of the goods, innovative development of economy and improvement of the quality of life.
Standardization is a key element for creation of quality infrastructure of goods and services, technologies, safety, ecology, management and other aspects of activities of organizations and economy in general.
Documents on standardization are kept in the Federal Information Collection of Standards. STANDARTINFORM is responsible for maintenance of this Collection of Standards. Most of national documents from this Collection set requirements for quality of goods and they also contribute to transformation of quality of life.
Technical specifications which determine quality of separate goods are developed on the basis of national standards.
