Today is celebtared World Students’ Day. Last month STANDARTINFORM developed series of standards including GOST R 57724-2017 «Information and communication technologies in education. E-Learning book. General regulations» for students.
Requirements of this standard are applied to textbooks in electronic format which are used in educational institutions of higher, secondary vocational education, general and supplementary education. Electronic editions should also take into account individual preferences of persons with disabilities according to this document.
Application of provisions of this GOST is obligatory for ensuring quality, transparency and accessibility of Russian education system in general.
E-learning book is a structured digital document consisting of text with opportunities of context-base search.
Electronic educational publications can be in the following forms - textual, cartographic, musical, in forms of albums or visual materials. They also give an opportunity for students and teachers to annotate text by adding bookmarks, notes, links or by highlighting texts.
E-learning book also maintains different kinds of multimedia and interactive control elements according to this standard.
GOST R will take effect since September 1, 2018.
