Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was formed on December 8, 1991. It is a recognized organization all over the world, which also deals with interstate standardization.
Agreement on realization of coherent policy in the field of standardization, metrology and certification was signed quarter of a century ago. Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification of the Commonwealth of Independent States (EASC) has been created according to this Agreement.
STANDARTINFORM is carrying out activities on information support of interstate standardization system being a subordinated organization of Rosstandart (GOST R) which is a member of the EASC. STANDARTINFORM has also developed fundamental principles of distribution of interstate standards.
Employees of STANDARTINFORM actively participate in the EASC sessions and sessions of its working bodies as authorized representatives and experts: technical committee on standardization, technical committee on metrology, technical committee on conformity assessment, working group on information technologies in the field of standardization, metrology and conformity assessment, working group on cataloging, working group on eliminating technical barriers to trade.
