World Quality Day is traditionally celebrated each second Thursday of November. It is celebrated on the 8th of November in 2018.
Main aims of this holiday are the following: drawing the attention to the problem of quality and to the fact that notion of quality is tightly connected with advantages of modern civilization and quality of life.

GOST R 53732-2009 sets range of main quality indices of cellular mobile communication. This document introduces the following terms: caller, coverage area of mobile communications, short text message, service provider, cellular network, cell phone plan etc. Activities on provision of services includes the following stages - provision of access to the service, maintenance of requests of subscribers, technical support of a service. Standard provides quality indices on each of these stages.
GOST R 53728-2009 sets range of main indices of quality of service «Data transmission». Data transmission is considered as activities of cellular operator on reception and transmission of data. This document introduces three types of access to the service «Data transmission» - direct, indirect (through the port) with the use of an intermediate switched network and indirect access with the use of a network with persistent connection.
GOST R 53727-2009 provides range of main indices of quality of service «Local telephone communication. While provision of this service contractor has to provide a user with the following: access to relevant line of communication, subscriber line for a permanent use, access to the system of information and referral service, opportunity of free round-the-clock call to emergency services.
GOST R 53726-2009 deals with indices of quality of service «International telephone communication» while GOST R 53725-2009 covers indices of quality of service «Long-distance telephone communication».
These documents on communication services have been implemented in Russia for the first time since the beginning of 2011.
