STANDARTINFORM took part in the XI International workshop «Matters of distribution and application of international, regional and national standards: from theory to practice» which was held on April 4-5, 2019 in Moscow.
The following major topics of were examined during the session: digitalization of development of international standards and standards of organizations that were developed on their basis, peculiarities of licensing policy of the largest right holders of foreign and international standards, standardization system in the Eurasian Economic Union: main rules.
Deputy Director of Printing of STANDARTINFORM Petr Odintsov presented a report «Machine readable standards: move to digital standardization» during the plenary session on the 4th of April 2019.
He also named major objectives of digital technologies in the field of standardization for 2019 and issues of creation of the database of standards in digital formats. Petr Odintsov also covered matter of arrangement of data exchange between information systems and question of enhancing the efficiency of activities on standardization.
The following actions lead to increasing the level of information support of standardization in the Russian Federation: use of references to standards in part of different state information resources, new level of maintenance and management of system of standardized terminology, reduction of deadlines of renewal of standards.
Reporter also informed on the executed activities on transition of the documents from the Federal Information Collection of Standards into XML format, development of the single system of marking of XML and highlighted that it was necessary to create a single platform for development of digital standards.
Session «Implementation of foreign and international standards in practical activities» was held on the 5th of April 2019 in the framework of this workshop. Director of the Department of Distribution of Information Products of STANDARTINFORM Ekaterina Kuzina performed with the report «Licensing policy of STANDARTINFORM in terms of distribution of ISO, IEC standards and documents of other foreign organizations on standardization».
She paid special attention to the matter of application of international standards, interstate standards and standards of foreign states. Many questions occurred concerning making translations of international and foreign standards during the session.
Andrey Lotsmanov, First Deputy Chairman of RSPP Committee for technical regulation, standardization and conformity assessment, Chairman of the Union of Technical Regulation and Standardization at Minpromtorg of Russia, performed as a moderator of this workshop.
