On April 16, 2019 there was a meeting of the technical Committee "Methodology of standardization" (TC 012), the Secretariat of which is headed by STANDARTINFORM.
In the meeting took part: from the Rosstandart (GOST R) – A. Shalaev, Deputy head of Rosstandart; STANDARTINFORM publ – M. Lomakin, Deputy General Director on science, head of TC 012; A. Dokukin, head of Department, Deputy Chairman of TC 012; A. Balvanovich, Deputy head of Department, Executive Secretary of TC 012.
On the meeting they discussed the issues of revision of GOST R 1.2; changes to the GOST R 1.12; changes to the GOST R 1.1; importance of ongoing changes to the basic standards GOST R 1.1, 1.2 GOST R, GOST R 1.12.
P. Odintsov, project development Manager on GOST R 1.2 "National system of standardization. National standards of the Russian Federation. Rules of development, approval, update, amendment, suspension and cancellation" told about the work. One of the main tasks of the new document, he said, is to reduce the time for the development and preparation for the approval of the national standard.
The speaker focused on the problems solved during the development. Under the current GOST 1.2–2016, the examination is carried out after editing or control of the document, which makes it necessary to return afterwards to the finalization of the standard and re-review. The proposed innovation is to carry out improvements to the publishing editing.
He said «For a clear understanding of editing as a process of preparation of the document for publication (publication), and not as any change in the text that occurs constantly during development, it is proposed to standardize the term "publishers editing of the draft standard».
