On November 27, 2019, STANDARTINFORM, as part of the Rosstandart delegation, took part in the 8th meeting of the Regular Working group on standardization, metrology and conformity assessment of the Mixed Russian-Israeli Commission for trade and economic cooperation.
The Russian delegation was headed by Chairman of the Russian part of the Working group, Deputy head of Rosstandart A. Kuleshov, the Israeli part of the Working group was chaired by- Yaakov Wachtel, the Commissioner of Standardization, Director of Standardization Administration, Ministry of Economy and Industry of Israel.
The Russian side informed about the latest developments in the field of standardization and the establishment of the National Institute for standardization.
The issues of digitalization of standardization processes, cooperation in the field of education and regulation: market surveillance, regulatory practices and risk management policy were discussed.
Yu. S. Tufanova, head of the International Cooperation Department, represented STANDARTINFORM at the meeting. She spoke about the Federal information Collection of standards, and touched upon the problems of the national system of standardization in the development of standards within the technical committees for standardization.
The meeting included a number of events.
On November 25, STANDARTINFORM held a Seminar for representatives of the Russian business community on the organization of the import / export system in Israel. The topic of discussion was "Aspects of technical regulation of import policy in Israel».
Speakers at the seminar were Yaakov Wachtel and Alexandra Aronin - Director, Standardization Policy and External Affairs, Standardization Administration, Ministry of Economy and Industry of Israel. They spoke about the organization of work in the system of national standardization of Israel; the condition of the standards collection; the procedures associated with their adoption; and at the end of the speakers answered numerous questions from the audience.
The participants of the 8th WG meeting agreed to hold a similar seminar for Israeli business, focused on cooperation with Russia in June 2020.
